Lists of tests Michael has had/is having and results as they come in:

  • 3/2007: Pneumonia x-ray picked up possible spinal curve
  • 10/2007: X-ray of spine, shows 48 degree thoracic curve
  • 11/2007: A lot of tests were done while hospitalized, from memory: Liver retested, shows same low level numbers but not problematic; Vitamin K deficient, gave IV of Vitamin K; Heart tested, doing well, various x-rays, pneumonia but not so much as his difficulty seem to indicate.
  • 1/2007: Pulmonary function tests show no improvement after aerosol treatment, previously his PFT results would almost double after treatments.
  • 3/2008: Flexible bronchoscopy, shows right airway collapsed, don’t know the extent, referred to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital

  • Pulmonary Function Tests: Results=22-24% without medication, 35% after albuterol
  • CT scan with dye contrast and 3D imaging: Results=see Tuesday update
  • Various scopes: Results=see Wednesday update
  • Genetic test for Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome: Results= WAITING 4-8 weeks
  • CBC blood work: Results=White count 1.5 (14 average), platelets 58,000 (150,000 & under is problem)
  • Biopsies of stomach lesions: Results= NORMAL
  • Pancreas enzyme secretions: Results= NORMAL
  • Samples from lung secretions: Results=?
  • Impedance probe: Results: NORMAL
  • Video swallow study: Results: WILL BE MAILED, minor issues
  • Silverman X-ray survey: Results: CONCLUSIVE OF SDS
  • DXA scan: Results: POOR BONE DENSITY
