But what about if they would give him 2 units at a time? Rather than the usual 10 unit bags usually given? (They're pooled into bags of 10 units, that's probably what he was getting when he reacted) And make sure they are saline washed. This will make sure all other blood components and coatings are removed from the platelets. Might increase his tolerance.
